Product description

Side to Side Modul DV Pro
The side-to side module of the artemis camera stabilizer systems is one of the main components the modular construction of artemis systems is based on. The side-to-side module is also referred to as top stage or donkey box. The quick release mechanism of the artemis DV Pro MD and FX systems allows to dismount the side-to-side module quickly and easily from the post. You can turn the gimbal quickly and easily for low-mode operation and, especially with the DV Pro MD system, you can use a super post, i.e. a significantly longer post.
The removable side-to-side can be upgraded to a new module later and can also easily be exchanged during service. Only the artemis DV Pro MD and FX systems offer this possibilities, these are unique features in this segment.
The side load plate S connects the camera with the side-to-side module; it is the same camera plate that is used in many Sachtler tripods. Mounting and clamping of the plate to the side-to-side require no tools. As its name suggests, the side-to-side allows to change the position of the camera to the system from the right to the left and forwards and backwards. Of course, you do not need any tools to adjust the camera position, the construction is self-locking, and also no beaks or clamps are needed. This user-friendly construction enables operation with one hand and adjustments even then when the operator is already carrying the system. This way of readjustment is called “on the fly.“
The illuminated built-in bubble at the back site of the module is another feature that helps to balance the system quickly and precisely.
The second important task of the side-to-side module is to provide power for camera and accessories and to put through video signals. The side-to-side module of the DV Pro series provides 12V and optionally also 24V camera power and over the AUX Power Out also 12V for accessories (wireless focus remote). For video transmitter use there is a Video Power Out socket that provides the video signal and 12V for the transmitter.
The standard side-to-side module of the artemis DV Pro MD and FX systems provide 12V power and SD (Standard Definition) video.
For the artemis DV Pro MD system there are also versions available that offer HD SDI and RGB video as well as 12V and 24V.

You can also use accessories used with the bigger rigs of the artemis family with the side-to-side of the DV Pro MD and FX systems, for example the Focus Bracket; with this bracket you can mount the receiver of a wireless focus remote on the front of a side-to-side module.
Due to their design, some cameras in the DV and HDV segment are a little bit harder to balance. The off-center plate optimizes the camera‘s center of gravity so that balancing is no problem at all.
